The same individuals are also more prone to developing a potentially deadly lesion called malignant melanoma. It is important that these benign appearing blemishes be evaluated by a specialist trained in identifying these potential life threatening conditions.

Dermatolic conditions while manifesting themselves on the skin have hormonal origins such as linea nigra which will go away on its own or melasma which has a hormonal component but is much more difficult to treat.

Laser therapy is a proven primary treatment for many of the dermatologic lesions and an adjunct treatment for many more. The important thing is that you be evaluated and an appropriate treatment plan initiated.
